Noticeboard

Text messaging is live. You will be reminded about appointments via txt if you have given us a mobile number. You will also be able to cancel appointments via txt soon. Please check with us that your mobile number we have is up to date.

Prescriptions

Please allow 48 hours for collection at the practice and 72 hours if going to the chemist of your choice.

 

Appointments

Same day appointments are available and are released at 8 am.  Some prebookable appointments are available should the GP or Nurse wish to see you again.  These appointments can book up very quickly so remember there are always on the day appointments from 8 am.  There are also emergency appointments every day.

Monday Late Surgery

On a Monday evening we have a surgery up until 7 pm which is available for anyone to access.

 

Workers' Surgery


This is a very popular clinic and is held on a Tuesday evening between 6 pm - 8 pm.  We realise the difficulty some people have making surgery times because of work commitments.  We hope that this extension of our normal working hours will enhance our continued commitment to the care of our patients.

 

Cancelling Your Appointment


If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone the surgery asap as someone else can use the appointment.

Patient’s Rights and Responsibilities

You will be treated with respect and as a partner in your care. Being a partner means you have responsibilities too.

  • Ensure our patients have access to 24hr medical advice work in partnership with you to achieve the best medical care possible.
  • Involve you and listen to your opinions and views in all aspects of your medical care.
  • Advise and inform you of the steps you can take to promote a good and healthy lifestyle.

We would respectfully ask that you:

  • Treat staff with courtesy and respect.
  • Inform the staff of any alterations in your circumstances.
  • As patients you are responsible for your own health and that of dependants.
  • It is important that you adhere to the advice and information given to you.

Personal information and Confidentiality

We ask for personal information so that you can receive the correct care and treatment.  This information is recorded on computer and may be shared with others For example District Nurses and hospital services.

We comply with data protection and Access to Medical Records legislation.  The Practice will ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times by all members of the Practice team.


Freedom of Information

The ICO has published a new Model Publication Scheme that all public authorities are required to adopt by 1st January 2009.
